Building Competence, Impartiality, Audit Effectiveness, and Accreditation Readiness for Certification Bodies
Created by SF Trainings Team
This professional self-paced training course provides a comprehensive understanding of ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems, including practical guidance for internal auditing of certification body processes related to Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
The course is designed to help certification body personnel, auditors, lead auditors, technical reviewers, certification decision-makers, quality managers, competence managers, and accreditation coordinators understand how credible certification systems are established, operated, monitored, and continually improved.
Learners are guided through the complete certification lifecycle, including application review, audit programme development, audit-time determination, Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits, auditor competence, impartiality, confidentiality, certification decisions, surveillance, recertification, complaints, appeals, suspension, withdrawal, and certification record control.
The course also covers Annex A and Annex B competence requirements, IAF Mandatory Documents, multi-site certification, certificate transfer, integrated management system audits, remote and hybrid audits, internal audits, corrective actions, and NABCB accreditation readiness.
Through practical examples, case studies, templates, checklists, exercises, and knowledge assessments, learners develop the skills needed to evaluate objective evidence, maintain impartiality and confidentiality, identify certification process gaps, support effective corrective actions, and contribute to competent, consistent, and credible certification body operations.
